**Review of Hans and Lloyd Coffee Shop, Muizenberg:** Walking into Hans and Lloyd, the atmosphere is fantastic; the smell of coffee hits you, enveloping you in warmth and comfort. The service here is great, with staff that are attentive and friendly, ensuring your experience is pleasant from the moment you step in. The coffee tastes wonderful, with each cup showcasing the care and expertise that goes into its preparation. I've had breakfast here previously, and it was very delicious, offering a satisfying start to the day. One of the standout features of Hans and Lloyd is its stunning view. From your window, you look out onto Muizenberg beach, watching the rolling breakers. The majestic mountains of Simon's Town and Miller's Point stretch into the distance, with vistas even reaching up to Cape Point. It's not just a coffee shop; it's an experience that connects you with the natural beauty of the area. Highly recommended for both the culinary delights and the visual feast it provides.

Food is unbelievable good and this is easily the one of best coffee and cappuccino spots in muizenberg. The other being up the road past the striped horse on the side. Service can be slow because it’s so busy and in demand and you may have to wait but you’ll almost always not wait longer than 10 minutes. Personally once served found it to fly. Breakfast wrap is really good but proper filling. You’d actually be fine to share it!

The Hans and Lloyd Coffee Co in Muizenberg is an absolute gem for coffee lovers and locals alike. This cozy spot combines great coffee, friendly service, and a relaxed atmosphere that perfectly captures the Muizenberg vibe. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee and a warm, welcoming team who clearly love what they do. Their coffee is consistently excellent — smooth, well-balanced, and full of flavor — whether you’re ordering a flat white, cappuccino, or something iced for a hot day. They also serve a delicious selection of pastries, light bites, and brunch options that pair perfectly with your drink. The interior has a clean, modern feel with a touch of coastal charm, making it a great place to meet friends, get some work done, or simply unwind after a surf. It’s the kind of café that quickly becomes a regular spot because of how easy and enjoyable it is to be there. If you’re looking for the best coffee in Muizenberg, The Hans and Lloyd Coffee Co should be at the top of your list.

First time visiting after hearing a lot of praise, and now I see why! Beautiful space with stunning interior—surfboards, basket lanterns, hanging plants, and warm wooden touches give it a relaxed, beachy vibe. The coffee bar is well stocked, juices are made with visible fresh fruit, and the cozy fireplace corner with couches is a great touch. Staff are friendly and super helpful. The only downside? Flies. Quite a few around my table and food, possibly due to the fruit near the bar. If that were sorted, this would easily be a five-star spot. Still, highly recommend!

In the hub of Muizenberg, surfers delight, with a stunning view. Vibey atmosphere. Our little dog was allowed. The fresh juices served is a delight, try the flu shot one, the salad was fresh and tasty. Value for money. Pop in when you in Muizenberg. It's on the ground floor level, but you can still have a sea view. The coffee is of a really good quality as well.

Genuinely great café experience The atmosphere is calm and uninterrupted, making it an ideal spot to relax or have a long conversation. The music was so good. The carrot cake was a highlight. If you like your coffee strong I recommend the flat white. Overall, this café delivers exactly what you hope for: good food, good coffee, and a peaceful environment. Highly recommended.

It's probably one of our favorite breakfast spots; great atmosphere and even better food. The breakfast rush is always intense, so keep that in mind! You may not find seating immediately in the morning or the coveted window seating for that beach view. We've also never had to wait too long for our orders so even during the rush it was great service. Their coffee is really strong, so if that's your jam, then you won't be disappointed. Our go-to order is usually the Hans Full House Breakfast, hubby loves the coffee, and I usually go for one of the dairy-free smoothies. Their stuffed croissant, scones, and cakes are great as well.

Probably some of the best coffee I've ever had. The atmosphere is so inviting and relaxing, one just feels at ease. Food was amazing and the service was snappy and attentive. They're also pet friendly, which is awesome. This is really a gem in Cape Town and I will definitely be back for another visit.
